Hi Sarah - how are you getting on with the collar now? Is it possible to have both collars on at once?

Quite often people use the Masterplus Pro for when their dog is off lead as those are the times when it is not so easy to have control, however, if you need to have your dog on lead with the collar on then yes I would suggest using a slip lead.

And with regard to the ID tag, you could just stick a label on the Masterplus Pro with your contact details on etc if you don't have the regular collar on at the same time.

I hope it's working out well for you!

Hi, Just bought a MPP collar for my 3 year old Springer who is generally pretty good but sometimes goes into a 'deaf zone' where no amount of calling or whistling her works, if she is in pursuit of something far more interesting!!! She normally wears a leather collar with her ID tag on it but when I have tried putting on the MPP collar in conjunction with her existing collar, it seems too much bulk around her neck. I am just concerned that if I remove her usual collar when using the MPP collar, she will have no means of ID tag on her. Also, the MPP collar has no means for attaching a lead so I assume a slip lead is the only option when using the MPP collar? Your comments would be much appreciated, thank you!

Hi Dave

Hmm that's a bit of a poser. Simply turning it of and on again should reset it. If still no luck, the best source for help is The Company of Animals (www.companyofanimals.co.uk & 01932 566696) who are the UK Distributor - they handle all servicing issues and will be able to sort your collar out.

I purchased a Masterplus Pro collar from Dog Training Products in May this year. I am having problems with it - it will not stay on and gas is leaking from the unit. I wish to return it. However Dog Training Products website does not seem to be available. As it has a 2 year warranty who should I contact?

Thanks for your help, regards

Hi there

Is there any way to reset the collar? Mine was working fine - had fresh batteries in collar and remote and then stopped activating.

Many thanks

Hi Bryan - the official word from the manufacturer is as follows:

"The Masterplus PRO is fully waterproof (if battery cover is sealed) for any length of time down to a depth of 1m, any damage found due to water ingress will be covered by Dynavet as long as the product is within guarantee."

Hi, I have just purchased one of these but have not yet used it , I am still in the process of my dog wearing it on walks without batteries , as suggested in the user manual.
My question is , is it fully water proof ?, the reason I ask is , my dog some times jumps into the canal , will it be ok ?.

I was wondering if you could help me!!

I have the masterplus Pro collar and remote control, I have it for my two dogs and it's fab!! I have to get it out every so often to remind my dogs when they fall back into bad behaviour so I still use it a lot. unfortunately I lost the remote on a walk the other day and I'm lost without it!! Can I just but the remote? It's expensive to buy the whole thing all over again.

Thank you
